Monarch butterflies contribute to the health of our planet.

The monarch butterflies are one of the great pollinators on the planet, however, these amazing creatures face many difficult situations, whether due to the excessive use of pesticides or the effects of climate change among others.

They need Milkweed, but the reality is that we are lack of suitable milkweed for their egg-laying and as a caterpillar food source.

Ted Kuklinski, is the president of Newton Conservators, a non-proit organization in Newton, Massachusetts and promotes the protection and preservation of natural areas, including parks, parklands, playgrounds, forests and streams, which are open or may be converted to open spaces for the enjoyment and benefit of the people of Newton for scientific study, education, and recreation. It further aims to disseminate information about these and other environmental matters.

Ted, is passionate about Monarch Butterflies and he shared with us his passion and why these fantastic pollinators are so important for our environment.
